Girls on the Range Athletics will inspire generations of female leaders who are strong, confident, resilient, and determined to achieve success both athletically and professionally.  The organization will build on Lewis-Palmer High School’s foundational Pillars of Excellence: (C.L.A.S.S) Character, Leadership, Academic Success, School Involvement, and Service to Community.

Girls on the Range is dedicated to providing a comprehensive range of programs and services to meet the needs of high school women athletes. Our offerings include investing into new equipment and training resources for women athletes and coaches. We also focus on providing education and training programs that empower young women to acquire valuable skills and knowledge for promoting lifelong physical and mental health for women. Through these varied programs and services, we aim to advance equity in women’s athletics.

Impact Plan for girls on the range

  • Develop partnerships with Lewis-Palmer High School administration and coaches, community members, parents, alumni, business owners, and other organizations to promote girls sports at Lewis-Palmer High School.
  • Provide scholarships and financial assistance for equipment, uniforms, and participation fees to eliminate financial barriers and help the school and girls sports programs with the funding they need to thrive.
  • Host clinics and outreach programs for the girls in sports at Lewis-Palmer High School.
  • Establish a mentorship program that pairs high school athletes with alumni, collegiate, or professional female athletes as role models.
  • Offer leadership workshops, team-building activities, and public speaking training tailored to young women in sports.
  • Create leadership awards and recognition programs to celebrate young women excelling in sports and leadership roles at Lewis-Palmer High School.
  • Work with Lewis-Palmer High School administration, coaches, and female athletes to advocate for funding, facilities, and opportunities for female athletes at the school.
  • Develop an ambassador program where Lewis-Palmer High School female athletes help lead advocacy efforts in their school to encourage girls in sports.
  • Partner with professional women’s sports teams, leagues, colleges, and universities to provide networking opportunities and exposure to career paths in sports and playing at the D1, D2, D3, AA, NAIA levels.
